OFF THE RECORD TOURS · GETTING AROUND

Where to Call an Uber in Nashville Without Getting Stuck

The show is over. Everyone has the same idea. Before you order a car, work out where you and your driver can actually meet. A clear pickup point beats waving at a moving car from a packed sidewalk.

Sort out the pickup before you request

Get your group together, check the venue’s current pickup instructions, then confirm your pin and the side of the street. Follow event staff and road-closure signs even when an app suggests something else.

Moving away from a crowd can help, but a longer walk does not guarantee a faster or cheaper ride. If walking is difficult, ask venue staff about the accessible pickup arrangement before the show ends.

Broadway, the Ryman and Printer’s Alley

Don’t assume the curb outside the door is available for pickup. On Broadway and around Printer’s Alley, choose a legal, accessible meeting point you can both identify; stay on public sidewalks and confirm the pin before ordering.

The Ryman’s public entrance is on Fourth Avenue. It has no public parking lot. Use its transport page to plan your arrival, then check the evening’s signs and staff directions for departure. A named corner is only useful if drivers can reach it that night.

Grand Ole Opry and Ascend Amphitheater

Make sure your destination is the right venue: the Opry House and the Ryman are different places. For the Opry, start with the official visit information and follow the current rideshare signs on site.

For Ascend, check the venue’s visit page and your event information before leaving. Ask staff where that night’s pickup area is. Don’t set a restaurant’s entrance as your pin unless pickup is permitted there.

Nissan Stadium and GEODIS Park

At Nissan Stadium, use the designated rideshare areas shown in the current transport guide. Construction and event traffic can change the route; an old shortcut is not a plan.

GEODIS Park’s A–Z guide currently identifies Fair Park at 2300 Bransford Avenue for rideshare. Check its event transport map before travelling and follow the signs when you arrive.

After a Sounds game at First Horizon Park

The Sounds direct rideshare passengers to the area near the Right Field Entrance on Rep. John Lewis Way or along Third Avenue North. Get to the designated area before requesting your car; staff can help you find it.

Driving downtown? Compare before you commit

The Music City Center garage is one option to compare with other downtown garages. Check the current rate, event restrictions and closing rules before you park. We don’t promise it will be the cheapest.

Park once for a manageable cluster of stops. Nashville’s neighborhoods are spread out, so check the distance before turning a whole day into a walking route.

QUICK ANSWERS

Before you head out

Where should I call an Uber after a concert in Nashville?

Use the venue’s designated pickup area when one is provided. Confirm your pin and follow current event signs before requesting the ride. There is no single pickup corner that works for every Nashville event.

Will walking a few blocks avoid surge pricing?

Not necessarily. It may make meeting your driver easier, but prices and wait times depend on demand. Check the app before booking.
